Why did you choose this beer style, and what makes your recipe special?

I chose a Heller Bock because this style of beer is rarely brewed today, but is always a special pleasure. The Heller Bock is a traditional beer that is particularly appreciated during the colder months. What
makes my recipe special is the combination of tradition and modernity: despite the classic base, the beer was dry-hopped with two modern, newer aroma hop varieties. This gives it a surprising and unique depth of flavor.

How would you describe the taste, and how does the name fit?

The beer stands out with its high original gravity and the targeted use of hops during cold conditioning, creating a harmonious combination of sweetness, balanced bitterness, and fruity aromas. The typical aromas of passion fruit, peach, and apricot are particularly pronounced, which is characteristic of the hop varieties Tango and Amarillo used. The name fits this beer style perfectly, because it is a light, bottom-fermented Bock that can truly knock you out with its high alcohol content of 7.5%.

What occasion is this beer suitable for?

The beer is an excellent companion, especially for festive occasions or a traditional game dish. With its balanced aromas, it pairs perfectly with hearty dishes. At the same time, it is so versatile that it actually suits almost any occasion - a true all-rounder that people always enjoy drinking again and again. 😃
